New Adventures in Food

A few weeks ago I did a quick poll on twitter. The poll was whether someone would read a food blog by a non-chef. The overwhelming result was a yes.

So this is it… a food blog by a non-chef.

Right now, let me give you a bit of background. Three and a half years ago I knew how to cook pasta and rice. I never attempted anything more difficult than that.

Then I met The Boss. For the uninitiated, The Boss is my wife. The Boss showed me that the kitchen is not a scary place. With that revelation a new love of food was born.

I’ve tried some recipes I’ve loved, I’ve tried a few I liked, and I’ve tried a few I hated.

With this blog, I hope to share with you a few of my favourites, as I try them. When possible I will share where I got the recipes from, be it a website or cookbook.

The reason I “borrow” recipes is because I’m not that creative in the kitchen. However, I adapt as I go along, but will give the credit where the credit is due. If I can remember where the credit goes.

The Boss was diagnosed with lactose intolerance some months ago. So, if I share a recipe it would most likely be dairy free.

This is my journey in food, as I grow in the kitchen. I want you to join me for the ride and enjoy it.
